My Passion
It all started when I mistakenly took a Graphic Design class in high school thinking I would learn about Video Game Design. What I really wanted to learn was back-end coding at the time due to the fact I wasn't an artsy person whatsoever. Instead, I was introduced to the design process and fell in love with creating solutions, not answers.
My Skills
My origins in the realm of design stem from basic branding techniques and persuasive posters. My high school design class did an excellent job of making me proficient in the Adobe Creative Cloud, and I can efficiently figure out new Adobe programs that are added. In college, I became more invested in front-end coding. HTML and CSS are my strong suits with JavaScript closely behind. Database classes were required for my major for some reason even though I was in Interactive Design, so I am also familiar with SQL and database management processes. Towards the end of my college career, I got introduced to UX/UI Design and remembered my original love for design. Albeit, UX is not like Graphic Design, but UI is were my heart is. Wireframing and prototyping are some of my favorite things to do in classes. I've always loved the technical part of computers and how websites work which is why I wanted to learn how to code, but being involved with Graphic Design, I missed out on a lot of the technical workings and focused on the creative side. I feel UI or Web Design is a good balance for me because I would have the best of both worlds, and meanwhile, I would keep the consumers in mind with my experience in UX.
